The next federal election is this year and we’re going to win. Ottawa Centre, with its shiny new electoral boundaries is turning blue for the first time since the 1980s.
Back in the day, after another Trudeau debacle, we enjoyed strong representation by voting in a senior Cabinet Minister, Robert René de Cotret.
Fast forward to today, and after years of voting in Liberal and NDP MPs, we are hurting.
Sky-high food prices, endless tax increases, a drugs and mental health crisis, unsafe streets, a housing shortage, a demeaning of our history, deliberate divisiveness, cancel culture, ethical scandals, a disconnect from everyday citizens, fake promises, fine-sounding assurances that mean nothing…did we leave anything out?
Yes we did: an economy in free-fall. Proudly putting sticks in the spokes of our entrepreneurs’ wheels, while secure with their pensions and privileges funded by us, the Liberals and NDP have bequeathed us a mess of a legacy. They have stalled infrastructure projects, discouraged worldwide capital from investing in Canada, regulated the heck out of businesses, run up massive debt on our credit card for us to pay off, crushed the Loonie, and embarrassed us with allies around the world.
Why does this matter? An economy circling the drain means fewer jobs and less money for the social programs we need and cherish. The result: a lower standard of living.
That’s reality. We need to deal with it, to turn the page. Having been dragged backwards by the Liberals/NDP, we need to all pull together to change direction! Now.
If you’re wondering whether switching your support from Liberal to NDP will bring change: that’s like voting for Tweedledum instead of Tweedledee. Zero difference!
You do realize those two parties have partnered in making this mess, yes?
